Creating a text box

Select the text tool (Tт), then click and drag on the canvas. Type directly in the box. Press Enter to start a new paragraph.

Formatting

Select some text (or place your cursor before typing) and use the context bar:

Font	Roboto (default), Open Sans, Merriweather, Crimson Text, Courier Prime, Anton, Comic Neue
Size	8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 48, 64, 72, 96
Text color	Any color, with transparency
Style	Bold, Italic, Underline

Formatting applies per character, so you can mix fonts, sizes and colors in the same paragraph.

Fonts in the PDF

The seven fonts above are embedded in the Imprime server and used by the PDF renderer, so the exported document matches what you see in the editor — no font substitution, no surprises on another machine.

Roboto	Neutral UI-style text, the default
Open Sans	Body text, highly readable
Merriweather	Serif body text, letters and reports
Crimson Text	Elegant serif, certificates and invitations
Courier Prime	Typewriter look, codes and references
Anton	Condensed display titles (regular weight only)
Comic Neue	Informal, friendly documents

Note

Sizes are expressed in canvas pixels. On a 1920 × 1080 page, 16 is small body text, 32–48 is comfortable, and 72+ is a title.

Inserting variables

Text boxes are where variables live. Put your cursor where the dynamic value should go and click ⚡ Variables — see Variables. A variable takes the formatting of the text around it, so a bold 48 px variable is rendered as a bold 48 px value.
